This past week I had the pleasure of attending a few celebrations for International Women’s Day. It was like when you celebrate your birthday the entire week, the best kind of week 🥰
It started off with Monument Women’s Creative Alliance International Women’s Day Soiree with a line up of impressive speakers and this year’s theme of #Give to Gain. Hazel Geary and Rachel McFadden PE always put together a warm welcoming event that leaves the guest feeling truly inspired. Aimee Yardley always the best wing woman.
If that wasn’t enough I was proud to be a part of Women United’s Conversation Starter discussing the Gender Pay Gap. There is so much work to be done in this area and listening to the women who work on this every day left me wanting to learn more and get involved. Thank you to all at United Way and Women United for this special evening
And last but not least, a fun night out with the great women in my workout group to the Early Birds Dance Club. That’s right, a dance party for women who have s%@t to do in the morning. Why am I mentioning this? Because the founders of this traveling dance party decided to start something for women of all ages based on their passion and what they love. They took their idea and actually ran with it. If you haven’t heard about it, read about it on their website. It’s a pretty amazing story.
I wish every week was like this, spending time with the women who inspire and go out and do the work. Can’t wait to celebrate next year.
