Happy holidays to you and yours! As 2021 closes out, we continue to be so thankful for our clients and associates here at Woods Financial Services. It has been our great fortune to remain in the office during the past two years amidst the pandemic, serving you during this turbulent time and providing the latest information in an ever-changing tax and financial landscape.
Every business is a part of a community, and a community is a team effort. We believe it’s important for us to give back whenever we are able, whether that is to those in need in our own backyard, or to causes and organizations in the communities across the country where our clients live and work. As we reflect on the year that has passed, we want to highlight some of the causes and organizations we feel strongly about.
All of us here at Woods Financial Services are true animal lovers–you’ll see the Woods’ two playful pups in the photo at the top of this letter. While the pandemic provided new homes for many animals, we know there are still just as many, if not more, who continue to need help. This year, we made a donation to the animal shelters and welfare organizations in all 26 states where we provide service.
Another cause dear to us is food insecurity. Last year, we made donations to food pantries in each of the states where we provide service. This year, we partnered with Baltimore Hunger Project to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need at a local elementary school. Supply chain shortages and delays made this quite the challenge. It took a small village to make it work, but ultimately, we were able to put together and deliver 40 meals.
You’ll find other groups that we are proud to support on our Community Page.
To all of our clients, we wish you all the best for the holiday season and a very happy, prosperous and safe 2022.
Stay well,
Brian, Emily, Olivia, Julia and Derin
